    Go RVing Classic

Well, my guy Billy Oatman didn't make it to match play this week, so I'll have to look to someone else to root for. There's really two players in the final 32 who I plan to keep my eye on. One is Kelly Kulick and the other is Chad Kloss. Kelly mostly because I'd LOVE to see her make the show on Sunday. How great would it be to see a woman competing for a PBA title again? She's worked hard to get where she is, and I'd love to see her have a little more success. Plus, well this might be silly, but I think she's easy on the eyes. :)

As far as Chad, I actually had the pleasure of watching him bowl quite a few times before he went pro. I bowl in the Chicagoland Amateur Bowler's Tour, and there was a period last year where Chad was absolutely tearing up the Master's Division. He throws a tremendous ball, and I'd love to see him make the show. Well, suit up and let's see how match play rolls out!

Well, another week, another tourney. Of course I'm closely following Billy Oatman. He's a class act and I'd love to see him make a show this year. Looking at the leaderboard, it's scary to see what you have to shoot to be up there. Bill O'Neill is averaging a crazy 261 after three games to lead the field. I figure I'd be somewhere around -100 by now, at least, probably averaging around 140. It looks like PA might be back in form, as he is up there on the list after a big 268 in the third. Norm Duke dropped out again, though I haven't heard any news as to what is wrong with him right now. He is most assuredly having physical problems, and I only hope he can get it cleared up and start competing again. I love to see him throw the ball! Every time I see him I want to try and learn his outside line, but it can be scary to play out there! On another note, what's up with Tommy Jones lately? Last week I think he threw a 110 in match play, and this week I see a 119 in the second game. Ouch babe, very ouch! I'll keep an eye out, and go Billy Oatman!

Wow, what a change.  The former POY brought out some old guns and blew through the competition at the H&R Block Classic.  It just goes to show that although every company makes some good equipment, it doesn't always match up.  My Dad always said, "It's not the ball, it's the idiot behind it."  That is largely true, but the ball DOES make a difference, as evidenced by PA.  He had nothing going the first half of the year with Track, but went home to Ebonite and won immediately.  Congratulations, PA, you made the right choice and had a great tournament!

Well, my guy Billy Oatman didn't make it through, but it looks like a great championship round today.  PA, PDW, WRW and Couch.  I'll be bowling in a tourney myself today, but I have the DVR all set to go!  I'm pulling for PA in this one, just because he's had such an off year thus far.  Was it really the equipment?  I mean, he switches from Track back to Ebonite, and BOOM...he makes the show.  We'll see in the coming weeks!

I'm sitting here rooting for my favorite new guy, Billy Oatman.  I met him at the ProAm in Vernon Hills, Illinois in November.  He throws a great ball and I hope he can pull out his match with Rogers.  Go O!
